Who We Are

We are young active citizens who are members of Junior Chamber International. We are committed to making an impact by creating positive change in our communities in Ibadan. We believe that a more peaceful and progressive world can be achieved through active Citizenship; individuals assuming responsibility to solve problems in our immediate communities.

President’s Address

It is an honour to welcome you to JCI Ibadan Elite.

I joined JCI in 2009 as an undergraduate student of JCI OAU majorly to boost my CV and get background knowledge of the outside world, but my life became better for it. Beyond learning what I needed to get a job, I learnt what I need to make a life or two or 1000 better.

What resonates with me the most as a Jaycee is the many stories of changed lives who come into JCI and end up a much better version of themselves. What do we gain as Jaycees? I say we gain SERVICE. We gain experience, we gain trust, we gain a better way of doing things. We gain BROTHERHOOD.

It is my belief that the world will be a better place if we all come together and serve one another, if we will treat our neighbours with respect and honour, if we will leave every space we occupy better than we met it, if the goal is to make impact rather than to make fame.

So in 2020, as members of JCI Ibadan Elite, our friends and guests, I implore you to join us in this journey of not just discovering for ourselves but also helping our environment DISCOVER EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE by living the true virtues of a Jaycee.

Thank you.

Adopt A School

Members of JCI Ibadan Elite found a government-owned primary school in our community which was in a deplorable state. We immediately flung into action, meeting with stakeholders and they all identified the same needs which we put on a scale of priority and charted the plan for our intervention. Our conclusion was to “Adopt-the-School”.

The Elite Club

In line with the United Nations sustainable development goal 4 on quality Education, JCI Ibadan Elite established clubs in different secondary schools in a bid to instill the culture of active citizenship in pupils and cause a behavioral change that could prepare them as trustees for the future of our committees.

Hangout With The Elites

Since its first edition on March 11, 2019, “HANG OUT WITH THE ELITES” has provided a platform for reaching out to our immediate community with a view to enrolling new members.

It brings together potential and intending members of JCI in addition to existing members of JCI Ibadan Elite who are on ground to meet with, engage and discuss JCI with the potential members.

Some other Local Organizations including JCI Ibadan, JCI Olubadan, JCIN University of Ibadan, JCIN The Polytechnic Ibadan among others, have also been represented in some of the editions.
