JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL
IBADAN ELITEWho We Are
We are young active citizens who are members of Junior Chamber International. We are committed to making an impact by creating positive change in our communities in Ibadan. We believe that a more peaceful and progressive world can be achieved through active Citizenship; individuals assuming responsibility to solve problems in our immediate communities.

Dear Active Citizens,
As we begin 2022, meaning that I officially commence my role as your Local President, it is with great humility that I embrace this opportunity to share my welcome message as the 2022 JCI Ibadan Elite President.
Just as I did while delivering my acceptance speech at the 2021 AGM, I’d like to thank all past presidents and board members, who paved the way and made our Local Organisation (JCI Ibadan Elite) what it is today for us (myself and the entire 2022 board) to continue with the good work.
A special thank you goes to my predecessor, JC Toba Adeyeye for putting me under his tutelage, for his immense commitment, his hard work throughout 2021, and for his support during my preparation to take up this role – I’m truly grateful.
On behalf of the newly elected board members, who will all be officially introduced to you during our first business meeting, I promise nothing but commitment to serving you. We will continue to make JCI Ibadan Elite a force to be reckoned with as we live out our 2022 Presidential Theme: #Inspire-Engage-Thrive and the National Presidential Theme: #OneLegacy
I’m very confident that we will go on to do more, be more, and achieve more together in 2022. I urge you all to keep this anchor guide with you throughout the year and in the foreseeable future. We’d all agree that 2021 was a very challenging year in many aspects, but being part of an organisation like JCI means that we are ambitious and purposeful individuals of the active citizen framework. Let’s continue to exhibit these traits by staying inspired and engaged so we can all thrive in 2022.
My best wishes,
Goodness Morakinyo
2022 President-JCI Ibadan Elite.

Projects
Adopt A School
Members of JCI Ibadan Elite found a government-owned primary school in our community which was in a deplorable state. We immediately flung into action, meeting with stakeholders and they all identified the same needs which we put on a scale of priority and charted the plan for our intervention. Our conclusion was to “Adopt-the-School”.

The Elite Club
In line with the United Nations sustainable development goal 4 on quality Education, JCI Ibadan Elite established clubs in different secondary schools in a bid to instill the culture of active citizenship in pupils and cause a behavioral change that could prepare them as trustees for the future of our committees.

Hangout With The Elites
Since its first edition on March 11, 2019, “HANG OUT WITH THE ELITES” has provided a platform for reaching out to our immediate community with a view to enrolling new members.
It brings together potential and intending members of JCI in addition to existing members of JCI Ibadan Elite who are on the ground to meet with, engage and discuss JCI with the potential members.
Some other Local Organizations including JCI Ibadan, JCI Olubadan, JCIN University of Ibadan, JCIN The Polytechnic Ibadan among others, have also been represented in some of the editions.
